Turner Wyatt

What does it feel like to be alone?

As if my own hand

Had been selected

To reach out

And grasp the earth

As if my being lonesome

Was a pallet

With which I could paint

A landscape of possibility

As if my own two feet

Could march me deep

Into the scene’s gullies

As if my body could dissolve

Into the mural

And stain the canvas

With sun colored dye.
