Early Morning Sky
want to paint a picture of the early morning sky.
I want to mix my pallet perfectly
to capture the yellows
in their pinks
in their blues.
I want to draw the perfect ripple in the clouds
which looks like a curve on your back
so I extend my hand to touch.
I want to capture the curve in its shape
like molten glass
and guess which bulge will drip
pulling the whole mess down on me
like a cylinder of rain.
I want to wait with long arms in the field
for it to fall from the sky
and consume me.
